- ➤ Downtown Clermont was filled with holiday cheer on Saturday, Dec. 6 — the day before today — as thousands attended the annual parade featuring decorated floats, festive music, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ Clermont celebrated its 36th annual Light-Up Clermont fest on Friday, Dec. 5 in the historic downtown district. Families enjoyed live music and festive performances, and Mayor Tim Murry along with Noah Lyles led a tree lighting countdown — a dazzling display that brightened City Hall Park. South Lake Tablet
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Kroger signed a termination agreement with Lake County and will repay $460,714.53 by Dec. 31 for tax rebate adjustments for 2022 to 2024 (the deal also ends 2025 incentive payments). The company will close its Groveland distribution center on Feb. 1, 2026, which will cut over 900 jobs. South Lake Tablet
