- ➤ Local shoppers in Clermont can now shop Walmart’s Black Friday deals—Walmart+ members enjoyed an early start on Monday evening and all customers can access discounts today. The sale offers savings on electronics, toys and more, and it will be available online and in stores through Nov. 30. WESH
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On November 22, downtown Clermont kicked off the holiday season with the City of Clermont-sponsored Enchanted Forest and Heritage Day Festival that featured festive tree displays, a Santa-only mailbox, live music, and family activities. Upcoming events include Light-Up Clermont on December 5 and parades on December 6—bringing more holiday cheer to the community. South Lake Tablet
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lake County commissioners will meet on Dec. 2 to discuss termination agreements after Kroger announced it will close its Groveland fulfillment center, which will end grocery delivery on Feb. 1 and leave nearly 1,000 workers without jobs. They will also consider reallocating $400,000 to CareerSource Central Florida to support affected workers while trying to recoup over $1 million in incentive funds. News 6
