Good morning, Clermont.

The Taste of South Lake and Business Expo at Clermont Waterfront Park attracted more than 30 local restaurants and 30 businesses offering food tastings, live entertainment, and a friendly competition.

The event honored winners in categories such as best appetizer and best entree — and celebrated the strong local community spirit.

The Clermont Garden Club chose Tina Worrell’s garden at 1004 Everest Street in Summit Greens as November’s Yard of the Month; her garden showcases a variety of flowers, trees + a small water feature that reflect her over 20 years of plant expertise.

On Veterans Day November 11, many restaurants in South Lake offer free meals and deals for veterans and active-duty military who show valid ID and dine in.

Offers include a free entrée at Applebee’s and discounted dining at Chili’s, Cracker Barrel, IHOP, and others — check with each restaurant for details — as offers vary by location.
