- ➤ LASER, a nonprofit leading Lake County flood recovery, is calling on volunteer groups to repair homes that lack flood insurance—an effort that has involved contacting 57 affected homeowners and repairing 20 homes so far. - ➤ In October, the Lake County Clerk’s Office raised awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month by collecting stuffed animals to help local children affected by domestic abuse.
