- ➤ Central Florida groups are preparing to send help to Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa caused major devastation, with attorney Dan Newlin assembling 500 pounds of supplies and scheduling two plane flights today—after stopping in Miami to pick up recording artist Shaggy. - ➤ A supply drive in Eustis and Mount Dora is aiding residents recovering from weekend flash flooding while nonprofit LASER mobilizes volunteers to distribute flood buckets, water, brooms and mops. - ➤ Orlando Health will launch a pilot program at South Lake Hospital in Clermont that uses wearable wristbands to track health data for patients with COPD.
