- ➤ Hurricane hunters flew into storm Melissa at 10,000 ft to collect data as the storm strengthened with heavy rains and strong winds across the Caribbean. - ➤ During November, the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller will offer free passport photos to U.S. military veterans and active duty personnel who show valid ID such as a DD 214, military ID, or veteran designation. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the courthouse in Tavares, the North Lake Branch in The Villages, and the South Lake Branch in Clermont. - ➤ Orlando Health opened a new outpatient center at South Lake Hospital to help patients after they leave the hospital—providing follow-up exams, medication help and care coordination.
