- ➤ Clermont Garden Club members enjoyed a field trip to Russell’s Bromeliads—one of the largest Tillandsia nurseries with nearly 40 years in business—on a 5 acre farm in Clermont where staff taught plant care techniques. The nonprofit club will meet on Nov 19 at their clubhouse on West Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to noon, with light refreshments served at 9:30 a.m. South Lake Tablet

- ➤ East Ridge High School Theatre Department will perform Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat from November 12th to 15th — with five shows at 7 p.m. and a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. — and tickets are now available. South Lake Tablet
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On October 17, the South Lake Eagles clinched the District Championship with a 49–35 win over East Ridge as they rallied from a halftime deficit. Senior players scored key touchdowns and a strong defense shut down the opponent in the second half. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ The East Ridge High School girls cross country team ran at Hawks Last Chance XC Open at Lake Minneola High School where Freshman Hortance Sallault set a new record by finishing in 19:14 and the varsity team won the event.
