- ➤ Clermont Main Street announced that the First Friday Food Trucks event will move to Saturday to allow more time for families to enjoy downtown. The new schedule will start on November 1 from 3-7 p.m.—featuring food trucks, live music, and family-friendly fun. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ One year after Hurricane Milton destroyed their mobile home in Wildwood, Tom and Shirley Lacey are still living with their daughter while they wait for a contractor to rebuild after a fallen oak tree and live wire caused the loss; Tom has cancer and Shirley suffered a heart attack recently. United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties is launching its Long Term Recovery Group to help storm victims and will hold an open house on Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warfield Auditorium — the group has raised nearly $250K so far.
