- ➤ The Mascotte Church will host a community lasagna dinner on Saturday, October 11 (12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at 15 N. Bay Lake Avenue, Mascotte. Guests will pay $10 per person for a meal offering a choice of meat or vegetarian lasagna, garlic bread, a drink and dessert, and a raffle with tickets at $1 each or 6 for $5. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ Lake County Transit Services will host its 19th Annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tavares Crossroads Publix Super Market—donations will benefit Lake Cares Food Pantry by collecting nonperishable food items—to help local families. South Lake Tablet

- ➤ Mayor Tim Murry said that October in Clermont will have events such as a Lunch with the Mayor on October 7 at Dim Sum House, Breast Cancer Awareness Month fundraisers, and Halloween on the Trail at Waterfront Park on October 28 starting at 6:30 p.m. He thanked residents for a successful National Night Out — urging them to join these fall gatherings.
