- ➤ Beta Theta-ESA held its first business meeting recently where President Lou Ellen Combs coordinated an educational program called Commemorative Cross Stitching and chapter member Terry Moherek demonstrated the technique—allowing members to start their own projects to be framed later. - ➤ An inclusive playground named Lili’s Place opened at Lake Felter Park in Clermont on September 22nd—commissioned by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of South Lake and built with contributions from various local partners. US Hwy. 27 in Clermont opened its doors today after a ribbon cutting hosted by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce—led by General Manager Deborah Cruz—and welcomed guests. - ➤ Southern Hill Farms will host its 10th Fall Festival on Sept. 27 in Lake County with events running on select Thursdays and weekends until Nov. 23. - ➤ Clermont City Council voted Tuesday 4-1 to approve an ordinance that removes most height restrictions on American flagpoles — letting the controversial Camping World dealership flag remain if it meets FAA and structural guidelines. Some residents raised property concerns while councilman Tod Howard said the change would be controlled with financial penalties for misuse. News 6
