- ➤ Lake County commissioners voted three to two against a proposed five-cent per gallon gas tax increase intended to fund road resurfacing and safety projects — the measure fell short of the required supermajority. Commissioners Leslie Campione and Anthony Sabatini opposed raising any new taxes, leaving the county to address its 700 million road construction deficit. WESH
