- ➤ Lake County commissioners are voting today at 9 a.m. on renewing a fire assessment fee designed to generate over $52 million for firefighters’ salaries, equipment and operating expenses—homes 800 square feet or less would pay $370, an 11% decrease from last year while larger homes would pay $415.
