- ➤ Lake County's school district earned an A rating for the first time since 2008 through steady improvements and dedicated teacher efforts. Classes will resume Monday, August 11 and the district plans to open two new schools and upgrade older buildings (including a 100-year-old facility) to support student learning. WESH
- ➤ FOX 35 News gathered school start dates for Central Florida districts and found that most, including Lake, Brevard, Flagler, Marion, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole, will begin classes on August 11 while Sumter will start on August 13 and Brevard kindergarten on August 14—this guide helps families prepare.
