  • Clermont Pediatric Dentistry celebrated its 20th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. The clinic — co-owned by Dr. Julie Russo and Dr. Alexandra Jensen — has provided specialized dental care for children, including those with special needs, in Clermont and Central Florida.  South Lake Tablet

  • White Castle opens its Clermont Castle at 9 a.m. Tuesday, August 12 at 4551 Collina Terrace plus the new restaurant creates 75 jobs in the area. The modern space offers seating for 72 indoors, 56 outdoors and two drive-through lanes for quick service.  South Lake Tablet

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Caribbean American Association of Lake County will host its 21st Annual Banquet, 'A Celebration of Culture,' at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center on September 27 with cocktails served at 6 p.m. and dinner and dancing beginning at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $95, available online or by calling 3529780813.  South Lake Tablet

  • Clermont residents will join a Mayor Tim Murry-led lunch at KeKe's Breakfast Café on Tuesday, August 5 at 2435 S. Hwy. 27. Each guest will pay for their own meal and listen to city updates as they share concerns in a relaxed setting - supporting local dining while staying informed.  South Lake Tablet
  • Today, a section of U.S. Highway 27 is being renamed as the Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link Memorial Highway to honor the deputy fatally ambushed a year ago near County Road 439 and Brookside Drive. The renaming ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at Minneola City Hall—his father attended the city council meeting that approved the change.  News 6
