- ➤ Early Wednesday, Lake County deputies used a drone to help Tavares and Eustis police follow a fleeing suspect—his empty vehicle was found and he was arrested on charges including possession of fentanyl, driving with a suspended license, fleeing law enforcement, and grand theft auto. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Clermont Police Department launched a real-time camera network called Connect Clermont and is inviting local residents and business owners to register their cameras so officers know where cameras are during emergencies—police say the added data will cut investigation times and support plans for a real-time crime center at headquarters by the end of 2026.
