- ➤ The Lake County Children’s Services Council will host its annual Back to School event at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center on July 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.—families will receive free school supplies and community support on a first-come, first-served basis. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ Roger is a 7-year-old neutered dog at Lake County Animal Shelter who is looking for a forever home in our community. He is energetic, weighs about 55 pounds and knows how to sit on command—qualities that promise he will bring joy to his new family. WESH
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Pedro Custodio, director of a group home in Umatilla, was arrested on July 12 for felony battery on a senior + he was released on a $10,000 bond pending trial the first week in August + a 77-year-old resident said he grabbed and pushed her, causing a bruise. WESH
