Good morning, Clermont.

Residents in Winter Garden waved flags on June 14 to mark the U.S. Army's 250th birthday — a celebration that included a festival, parade and concert in Washington, D.C. — and event organizer Dayna Gaut noted the local display honored the Army's long legacy.

On Friday, June 13 at noon, Clermont closed the qualifying period for City Council seats 2 and 4.

Bryan L. Bain and Tod Howard will appear on the November 4 ballot for Seat 2 while Chandra L. Myers qualified unopposed for Seat 4 — so no election is needed.
