ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Florida Highway Patrol said a crash near mile marker 277 in Clermont on June 1 shortly after 2:45 p.m. caused traffic delays on the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike—one lane has since reopened.  FOX 35 Orlando

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lake County is hosting a series of public listening sessions on growth management to get input on a potential charter county change and needed road improvements; the first session is today at 1:30 p.m. at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers in Tavares—Commissioner Leslie Campione said the workshops will guide growth while protecting the county’s character and economy.  News 6

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dave Stroud, a stroke survivor who suffered three strokes in 2021 at Methodist Hospital, now volunteers there building therapy devices to help others improve fine motor skills. He also attends a weekly Stroke Chat where he shares his recovery journey and offers support to fellow survivors.  WESH
