- ➤ Counties across Central Florida will hold Memorial Day events this weekend to honor veterans with ceremonies and tributes. In Clermont, the city hosts the Memorial Vietnam Travelling Wall at the Highlander Building & Pavilion Complex — free for visitors from May 24 to May 26. WESH
- ➤ Law enforcement in Lake County honored fallen Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Link by hosting the first Bradley Link Memorial Golf Tournament at Plantation Golf Club in Leesburg during Memorial Day weekend. A total of 144 golfers—including officers, first responders and club members—participated, and all proceeds will benefit the Lake County Sheriff’s Charity Fund in Link’s honor. WESH

- ➤ The Caribbean American Association of Lake County hosted its annual scholarship awards at a May meeting, honoring six top high school seniors of Caribbean heritage—students from East Ridge, Leesburg, Hope Academy and South Lake received scholarships for college.
