- ➤ FCA is offering summer camps for young athletes, coaches, and families designed to build athletic skills and leadership in Clermont and nearby towns. Registration is open for the Champions Camp on June 4 (2-9 p.m.), with additional camps scheduled later in June and July. South Lake Tablet
- ➤ Clermont Police Department announced summer youth programs including a teen summit on June 4 at the CPD station (3600 South Hwy 27) from 5 to 8 p.m. Youth can earn service hours on Wednesdays in June and July, and free Hoops with Cops events occur at local parks. South Lake Tablet
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lake County will begin a fertilizer blackout on Monday, June 1 through Sept. 30 to improve water quality by banning fertilizers with nitrogen or phosphorus and limiting use when heavy rain is forecast. Residents should follow extra guidelines to protect local lakes. South Lake Tablet
