  • Clermont’s Memorial Day Ceremony will include the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall, a smaller replica of the Washington, D.C. memorial, at Waterfront Park (330 Third Street) on May 26. Patriot Guard Riders will escort the wall from Home Depot on May 24 while retired military officials share their experiences during a program that features musical tributes, a rifle salute, and Gold Star Family recognition.  South Lake Tablet

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lake County Schools will replace locks on 1,000 doors at 20 elementary campuses to boost safety after summer break—aiming to lock doors automatically to remove human error. The $196,000 project is funded by a state hardening grant and will be completed by the start of the 2025-2026 school year—ensuring added protection for students.  News 6
