GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Florida Gov. DeSantis signed a new law, the Freedom to Boat Act — which pauses a planned ban on anchoring at Silver Glen Springs and takes effect on July 1, stopping a final vote by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Local residents fighting the ban said they believe the change will help them keep boating in the area without hurting local business. News 6
