On April 11, Montverde Academy held its Night for the Cure event which united the community with games, interactive booths, and performances—supporting the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation and Cornerstone Hospice and honoring a student who passed away from cancer last year.

The Orlando Dreamers secured nearly $1.5 billion in investor commitments to bring a Major League Baseball team to Central Florida (this deal advances the project toward launching a future team).
