- ➤ Hope Preparatory Academy received a $60,000 grant from the Live Well Foundation of South Lake to upgrade its Nathaniel Community Gymnasium into a climate-controlled emergency shelter for residents facing severe weather. - ➤ Wildfires scorched Central Florida on Monday and Tuesday under a Red Flag Warning, prompting a road closure and evacuations in Lake County and halting train service in Putnam County. A Lake County fire burned 120 acres (85% contained) and a 4,112-acre fire in Putnam was 50% contained as of Tuesday. WESH
