- ➤ Second Harvest Food Bank said federal funding cuts will cost it $11 million as the USDA canceled its orders for fresh food, leaving nearly one million meals unavailable for local families. The food bank lost 30 truckloads of food in March—an early sign of the crisis—and will seek new ways to replace the lost supply. WESH

- ➤ Kim Styrvoky, MD, a board-certified interventional pulmonologist, joined Orlando Health South Lake Hospital to support its interventional pulmonology program and expand specialty services for Lake County patients using robotic-assisted bronchoscopy and minimally invasive techniques—her expertise will enhance lung cancer screening and treatment. Dr. Styrvoky earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
