650 Eighth Street in downtown Clermont is a historic building—originally built as the Reliance Garage in 1921—that later hosted a hardware store, drug store and lunch counter.
The building now holds Yummi’s Frozen Yogurt & Café and stands as part of a revitalized downtown with new businesses emerging.

Lake County issued a countywide burn ban on March 25 due to worsening drought conditions and a KBDI surge to 500 that raised wildfire risks.
The ban stops burning yard debris, land clearing, recreational fires, and unauthorized piles (while permitting small cooking pits, grills, and smokers) and will lift once the index drops below 500 for five consecutive days.
