  • A pair of 16-year-old girls who went missing on Monday during a paddle board trip near Cedar Key were found Tuesday morning—cold but otherwise healthy—and taken to the hospital for dehydration and mild hypothermia.  News 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents along Sawgrass Bay Boulevard in Clermont plan to protest a connector road project designed to link Lake and Orange counties. They worry that delays and missing improvements on the Orange side will continue to cause safety issues and long commutes—neighbors say they only need the promised road upgrades.  News 6
  • NASA's Crew-9 splashed down off Florida's coast near Tallahassee Tuesday evening at 5:57 p.m.—SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft returned astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore after a nine-month stay on the International Space Station.  Fox 35 Orlando

HEALTH NEWS

  • Sergeant Justin Zeigler of the St. Cloud Police Department is running 200 miles over five days to raise awareness for first responder mental health. His ultramarathon begins at noon today—stretching from Georgia to Alabama— and follows his personal recovery after a shooting last August where a victim died.  Fox 35 Orlando
