- ➤ Lake County officials are treating Lake Yale with aluminum sulfate to reduce harmful algal blooms caused by high phosphorus levels. The $10 million project (phased quarterly until 2030) includes daily water quality monitoring to ensure safe water without extra taxpayer costs. News 6
