- ➤ After two nights of freezing temperatures, Southern Hill Farms in Clermont lost 35% revenue as crops like blueberries & sunflowers suffered damage. Owner David Hill is replanting for April and expects strawberry, blackberry and peach harvests later, urging the community to support agritourism when gates reopen. WESH
- ➤ At Showcase of Citrus in Clermont, farmers assessed damage from prolonged cold that dropped into the twenties for many hours, risking next season's fruit. They prepared by moving reptiles indoors + using heat lamps for animals and continued these steps when temperatures dipped again Monday night. WESH
